FC Augsburg
Augsburg does not play well in the second half of the season and both wins were won at home. The rivals were not strong either. Only Eintracht is very uncomfortable this season and this win is therefore worth a little more. Away at M’gladbach and Leipzig, the Augsburg were each defeated 0-2, while they played in the last-placed Cologne draw.
For today’s hosts, however, the most important thing is that they are in the upper half of the table and have a safe distance to the relegation zone. With a victory in today’s duel, they would then have a significant lead over the endangered candidates. After beating Eintracht, coach Baum did not want to make any big changes. Only Khedira was in midfield, but the team then went nuts in the last round. However, we do not expect any changes now, especially as some players are injured or suspended.
VfB Stuttgart
Since Stuttgart was really bad at the end of the first half of the season, they can even be described as solid in the five rounds of the sequel. There is nothing new in the game and the points are still scored at home. Two 1: 0 triumphs were fetched, while in the last round Borussia M’gladbach had to believe. Before that, the players from Stuttgart finally reached an away point, in Wolfsburg. So far, they have scored only two points outside of Stuttgart and are thus league champions.
Today’s visitors have been led by new coach Korkut in their last two games, which seems to have had a positive effect on the games. After the draw in Wolfsburg he has made a change that has proved to be a direct hit. Ginczek played instead Donis and scored the only goal and thus the victory. There will probably be no change now. Striker Gomez was ill, but should now play.
